Dearest April 2024

Dearest,
How are you? Isn’t it funny how we always start our letters this way knowing we will never get a response. It’s like when we ask the question in person and don’t allow each other the space to answer - other than the automatic, unconscious and immediate response of “I’m good, how are you?”
So my friend, how are you - really?
Have you been able to observe something recently that placed a smile on your face, whether you wanted to or not? I hope so. I hope right now you’ve paused momentarily as you re-call that moment. Where were you? Who was with you or were you in blissful solitude - just you and the moment?
And isn’t being in the moment just the most wonderful state of being! Everything just feels lighter doesn’t it. As I write the pen in my hand feels light (all letters are created by hand and then transferred to this space). It’s ink flows consistently, well I’m sure it would if it wasn’t for my shaking hand and varied pressure attempted to compose words in an arrangement. Creating a melody without music, a tempo without a beat. Harmony between the pen and the page, inviting the mind and soul to join and create a masterpiece.
The photo below is one I’ve taken. I still harbour dreams of being a photographer and maybe one day more time can be spent capturing moments this way. For now I will be content in just taking the photos. Just taking photo’s technically makes me a photographer doesn’t it!?

Do you have any dreams? I hope you do. I also hope you have the belief you deserve it. The commitment to do what’s needed. The courage to create the habits that will move you closer and the perseverance and humility to end the habit which move you away.
Though we may not see each other or speak often, please know that I wish you a wonderful life, filled with blessings and abundance.
You are worthy, always.
Take care - of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world
Ngā manaakitanga - many blessings
Thank you Nadine for my wonderful letter. I too wish you all the very best for whatever the future holds for you.
