Creating wonderful memories from simple moments

Dearest,

How are you? When was the last time you were aware of your toes? Can you work your way across each one tapping as if they were playing keys on a piano? I'm laughing as I write this as feet are my least favourite body part and now I'm trying to get my toes to tap away to a tune!

Have you celebrated any special occasions lately? I think we allow too many days to pass without celebrating so I try to make sure things like "the good plates" are used just because. The future isn't promised to any of us so let's try to live in the now. Crystal for dinner with cloth napkins just to celebrate that it's Sunday night.

We celebrated a friends 65th birthday and all night the conversations were centered around memories of the experiences shared. There wasn't a single comment about "things or objects" accumulated, just lots of laughter and recalling of stories of times long gone but the feelings felt in that moment travelled through time and were felt again now. The joy in their eyes, lighting up, fully alive - now that's a gift.

Every day we have moments, some of which we will carry through time and others will just disappear from our recollections. I hope this week you get to create a wonderful memory, that will provide you joy for you and those you share it with. It may be something your barely register but when your friend replays it many years later you get transported back to this moment and its irreplaceable vibes.

It's not yet lunchtime as I write this, but I think it's going to be a day where I seek out a sunny spot, snuggle down with a book only to read a few pages before nodding off to a blissful afternoon snooze. Sometimes not doing anything is the perfect thing to do.

When did you last enjoy a nap in the afternoon? I hope you can have one just when you need it.

I also hope you get to experience a wonderful moment - an unexpected gift - whether it's a smile from a passerby, a sunset or sunrise that stops you in your tracks, a hug from someone dear. Maybe you can even be the source of such a gift to someone else. I'd love to hear about it.

Take care dearest, of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our wonderful world.

You are worthy - always.
