Dearest,

How are you? Really - take a moment and check in with you - how are you? It's a question we get asked so often (I ask each week!) but most of us, myself included, will respond something along the lines of "yeah good".

That response is probably appropriate when replying to the check out operator, but maybe with our trusted loved ones we might start using that prompt as the start of wonderful conversations about each other rather than the eh emmhh it currently is. I say that, but to be honest, I'm terrible at talking about myself so maybe my auto response will keep coming (just an FYI for those who may expect more from me!).

What's something you experienced this week for the first time? I'm looking back and don't think I did - not a biggy. This coming week we already have a night out with friends at a restaurant we haven't been to before. I may also try a baked cheesecake recipe I've been meaning to try. This has the added bonus of not only trying something new but creating something new too - creating is something we should be doing daily - we are all creative creatures - whatever form it takes!

How do your social media feeds make you feel? Mine is full of friends, creators, artists and clever people with very few "influencers". When I scroll through, I am usually inspired or discover something random that will only ever be used at a pub quiz.....maybe. Its more often than not, a positive experience. Our social fees need cleaning out every now and then - just like our rooms. They should leave us feeling happy, contented, entertained or inspired. I hope that's how it is for you.

Today a post from the Dalai Lama on his 90th birthday really resonated

Strive not only for physical progress, but for a peaceful mind and a kind heart - extending compassion not just to those close to you, but to all.

Perfect vibes to be taking into this week.

Take care Dearest, of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world.

You are worthy - always

Ngā manaakitanga xx
