Building your Serendipity Surface

Dearest,
How restful was your sleep last night? Was it the kind of sleep you were unsettled and awake or did you close your eyes which only reopened with the morning light? I hope your bed is a place of wonderful retreat, replenishing you for activities to come.

How have you been approaching the new calendar year? I often find myself asking people how the year has been treating them. Thinking about that it's a kind of backwards thing to as isn't it. It's up to us to create the kind of year we want. If we are intentional and conscious amazing things can happen.
I came across a term which I love as it goes a long way to explain that luck factor. Some people seem to have heaps, some people seem to struggle. The term is Serendipity Surface. The larger your surface the move luck you experience. You grow your surface through the people you connect with, the events you attend, the service you give and importantly, the actions that you consistently take, whether others are watching or not.
You grow it effectively only if you are clear on the life you want. By knowing what that looks like it means that you recognise opportunities that are aligned with where you are going. Think of it like being on a road trip. You need to know the destination if you are going to take the right turns. Yes, you can still enjoy unexpected detours along the way, yet the destination is clear. You'll know when you get there.
Do you have any plans this week that takes you out of the day to day usual? I hope you have opportunity to create space for awe. For something that makes your heart sing even if it doesn't make sense to anyone else.
Take care Dearest - of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world.
You are worthy - always
Ngā manaakitanga xx
