Dearest,

How has this past week been for you? I hope you managed to create space for activities and people that replenish and energise you. Or maybe you didn't. Either way let's go forward with that intention and see what wonderful experiences come our way.

This week I purchased some new socks. Not really something that registers as excitement but OMG is there anything better than slipping brand new cosy socks onto your feet - heaven! It's right up there with jumping into bed with clean fresh sheets. What's something that you absolutely love that is, on the face of it, completely and utterly ordinary? I'd love to know.

The purchase of the new socks prompted me to clean out my sock drawer. All odd pairs - gone. All holes in the toes - gone. All those that have almost become transparent and just a lattice of threads - gone. It's now able to easily close and when I pull it out I can simply see and get what I want. It's surprising the joy that is triggered by, again, a completely and utterly ordinary everyday moment.

I shouldn't be surprised - every time I remove clutter from my environment my brain and soul feel lighter too. Have you got any spaces that are a "mess" or cluttered and you would benefit from spending some time to organise? Yeah the thought can be daunting but even five minutes will make a positive difference. You don't have to do it all now #chooseyourhard.

Gazing outside, the grapevine has transformed from green to yellows. Soon it will just be the bare vine - all woody and gnarly. It will join the plum, plumcot, peach, pear and fig trees to rest and just be. A cycle we could all benefit from in our own ways, recognising our own unique seasons.

Unfortunately, our seasons can't be predicted on a calendar, consistent each year. No, our seasons can change week to week, day to day. That's why I think it's some important we have quiet time with just ourselves to tap into that intuition we all have. That magic that's always guiding in a soft whisper.

So, this week Dearest, I hope you can create some space just to be with yourself. Without to do lists, without expectations, just breathe.

Take care Dearest, of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world.

You are worthy - always

Ngā manaakitanga xx
