Dearest,
How are you in this moment? Are you finding yourself falling into a restful and replenishing sleep each night or are you tossing and turning, never feeling fully restored? is your head full of noise or your heart burdened by loss?

I hope this week you get to fall into one of those slumbers that you awake from, full of energy to fully embrace each experience that presents itself during the day.
Lately, I’ve been reminded of how life is constantly evolving - whether we want it to or not. This season of change has been hard - surprisingly hard. I’ve found myself retreating whilst trying not to resist what is. Some days that acceptance was hard won requiring me to trust that I am exactly where I need to be, to learn the lesson I need to learn, to reveal the person I’ve always been.
And when I’m not trying to resist this truth, there is a wonderful calming contentment that envelopes me like a snuggly blanket in front of an outdoor fire on a clear and still autumn evening.
So e hoa, should you ever find yourself in a moment of turmoil, I hope that you too can fully accepts it for all that it is and find a way through that is true for you and your journey. Our wonderful life is certainly full of moments and whether they are moments to delight in, to dance in, to embrace or to mourn, each will pass leaving its own unique mark on our being.
It’s kind of fantastic how each moment passes to make way for the next - a constant stream of opportunities. Allowing each to be what it is is the hard part - naturally we want to cling to the good times and resist the times where our hearts are breaking or things aren’t evolving how we think they should. If we can allow every moment to be exactly what it is there is a lightness.
In this moment I’m writing to you, the sun’s heat is driving deep within my skin, despite being winter. There is a stillness surrounding me as the park is emptying of players and their supporters and our little piece of the world is going back to just us.
I wish for you this week to rediscover something that brings you joy - marmalade on toast served on the matching plate and teacup, a piece of music that surges you with good energy, a moment with a loved one - whatever it is, I hope you can just be in that moment and fully embrace it while you have it.
Take care dearest - of yourself, of others, of your thoughts and of you actions.
You are worthy - always
Ngā manaakitanga
