Morning commutes and the power of a smile

Dearest,
How are you in this moment? What wonderful things currently surround you? I’m looking out my window at the bare branches of fruit trees. Their bar is dark and shiny from recent rain and the remaining droplets cling like shimmering gems catching the suns rays.

What are you looking out to? Is your environment supporting you to thrive or is the clutter and mess the source of agitation? The saying goes cleanliness is next to godliness - I’m not sure sure about that but I do know when I’m feeling overwhelmed and frustrated I can always guarantee its because my environment is out of whack.
I’ve just cleaned out my wardrobe and it sounds nuts, but I physically feel lighter! Do you have any spaces you could clear out or rearrange to bring you more peace?
I hope you have experienced joy triggers recently. I’m blessed to have one almost guaranteed whenever I catch the 6.35am train. Dougal, who checks and collects tickets, greets everyone with a warm and welcoming “good morning”. It’s the type of good morning that comes with a smile and as I watch him make his way down the carriage I observe his smile multiply on the faces of passengers. It’s a small but wonderful thing to behold.
I imagine a world where we all share our smiles. With loved ones as they walk in a room. With friends as we catch up. With strangers whose paths we cross in non descript locations. Smiles are wonderful connectors and can leave positive impacts - lets go share a few this week - starting with ourselves as we brush our teeth in the morning - yes you’ll feel a bit of a dork and may have to fake it to start with but I guarantee you’ll be breaking out into a legitimate grin in no time - sending a rush of the good feels right through your whole being.
Take care dearest, of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and our wonderful world.
You are worthy - always
Ngā manaakitanga - many blessings
