Joy no matter the weather

Dearest,
How are you in this moment? Take one of those lovely nourishing deep breaths in. Relax those shoulders that too often carry the weight of the world.

Have you ever noticed the simple beauty of a rain drop that's just fallen against a window? I know rain is normally defaulted to as being "bad weather" but there is something about watching it slowly slide down the window that challenges that default.
It's summer, yet the weather hasn't matched my summer expectations. I think of summer and I picture blue skies, warm air, days on the beach. Bare feet hopping across hot sand making their way to refreshing rolling waves or warm bodies diving into still chilly rivers.
But reality doesn't always meet expectations does it. While summer expectations haven't been met, there is still joy that can be found in the reality. Like watching that rain drop making a path down the window. Or being able to linger in bed that wee bit longer on a wet morning. Those mornings that quietly invite you to stay. Blue sky mornings seem to demand that you meet them immediately, to make the most of their presence. I'm learning to greet both as they are. Even if I still have expectations and optimism of a summer still to truly come.
This weekend, I hope you have some wonderful moments in whatever weather you find yourself in.
Take care Dearest - of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world.
You are worthy - always.
Ngā manaakitanga xx
