Blue sky days at the beach and other plans......

Dearest,
How does this moment feel? Was your last breath deep and replenishing or you couldn't even say? Are you in a hurry to finish reading and move onto the next thing, missing the opportunity to just be?

Lets take a deep breath together (because I definitely fell into the camp of "couldn't tell you") and allow ourselves to just be.
Inhaling for two, three, four,
Pausing for two, three, four,
Exhaling for two, three, four,
Pausing for two, three, four.
Repeating the inhale, the pause, the exhale, another pause.
Continuing the sequence for as many times as you need.
What is the weather where you are? Blue skies? White clouds? Wind or rain? Do you find yourself calling it good or bad? I love Billy Connelly's statement that "there is no such thing as bad weather - only bad clothing choices". Not sure some of the extreme weather events we are experiencing applies but you get the gist.
We've had a run of blue sky days and I definitely feel more upbeat and energetic. Looking out the window the neighbours cat is already sprawled out on the tarmac road, soaking up the early morning rays.
Today we plan to find a spot down the beach, with books, pens and podcasts for me, a couple of pillows because at 48, and having not maintained my body to the best of my ability, just a picnic rug doesn't cut it for comfort. Admittedly time will mostly be spent wandering and snacking but sometimes just the pen poised in my hand is all I need.
Do you have any plans today? Are they plans of your choosing or are they plans you've found placed upon you?
I hope within this day, Dearest, you experience a joy trigger whether the plans are your or others.
I hope you can find a moment where you are totally present, in whatever that moment is and the stillness and calm that will envelope you, like a big comforting hug, replenishes the wonderful human you are.
Take care dearest - of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful world.
You are worthy - always
Ngā manaakitanga xx
