Appreciation of bodies

Dearest,


How is this moment? It's been a while since we've checked in on our bodies, well for me at least. Just writing that has made me sit a little taller and engage my core muscles. How is your body feeling - did you make any adjustments just because you started thinking about it?

Bodies are amazing aren't they though I suspect that we take them for granted and only realise their magnificence when some of the magic is no long working. I also suspect too much time is spent wishing for smaller or firmer or bigger or perkier or what our gravitational pull is.


This week my appreciation will turn to all that my body can do. From writing by hand which enables me to communicate with others to legs that take me around the golf course. A body that finds joy in dancing and singing in the shower! I'm blessed to still have all working parts in a world that assume and is set up for that. What is something you can be grateful for about your amazing body? Make sure to take some time to celebrate that - even just a wee high five to yourself.


The rain is currently falling which feels like permission to stay in bed longer. It's inviting me to jump back into binging Sex In the City which I've gone back to the very first episode. While I am really enjoying it, I've got to say some magic is lost the second time around. A reminder to enjoy this moment for what it is as even a replay won't ever bring it back.
