Dearest,

How are your nerves feeling? Has the holiday season filled your cup or has it drained you? Has being around people resulted in wonderful conversations building shared memories, or pent up frustrations with people and experiences not meeting expectations? Take a deep breath now and try to come into this moment.

The weather over this holiday season has been wet. The weather has been windy. This morning as I write to you from my front room, the sky is full of dark grey clouds. From the lounge, there are blue skies. The grass glistens from an earlier morning downpour. There is still the beauty there, yet today, it's just a bit harder to see. I need to look for longer. It takes more time to quiet my mind (well as much as it ever quietens....there is never nothing, ever).

This feeling of blah, mixed with a little grrr is a sure sign I've been sitting around too long. Too much consuming and not enough creating. A lesson I need to keep learning. Creating doesn't necessarily mean a work of art, though it could be. It can also mean making a meal (not just slapping food together - I'm talking about curating an experience and putting love into it), making space - cleaning away clutter, finding a quiet spot, making sure to connect with someone, writing, gardening, connecting.

So today, Dearest, I wish for you to know what ever it is you need to do, and to do it. If you don't know, perhaps just try taking action of any sort in kindness and see what then happens. Hopefully you'll recognise it as something wonderful.

Take care Dearest, of yourself, of others, of your thoughts, of your actions and of our beautiful work.

You are worthy - always

Ngā manaakitanga xx
